Happy 35th Birthday Mike!

Mike turned 35 yesterday. He has been feeling really bad lately that we can't go camping because of his crutches and lovely cast on his leg and my big belly. So I decided that we would have to take our camping trips into our own backyard this summer by getting him a fire pit with s'mores items included. My Mom and Dad also pitched in and she wrote him a cute poem to go with it.

This summer won't be exactly as planned
(and Zion's Canyon will have to wait 'till next year!)
But you can make memories in your own backyard-
With a campfire and s'mores and root beer!
You don't have to worry about finding a spot
to pitch your tent where the rocks are small.
You won't have to use the outhouse potty,
and the mosquitoes will be no trouble at all!
Just open your door and walk outside.
Roll out your sleeping bags, set up the chairs.
And just like THAT a trip to remember...
No reservations required! Your THERE!
Mike also received a board game called "Settlers of Catan" from his parents, which he loves to play with our boys.
Mike took the afternoon off work and we all went to see the new Pixar movie, "UP." It was so sweet and cute and touching (Mitchel and I cried at some parts). The characters were so adorable and I loved the whole thing. I highly recommend you take your whole family.
So it was a good birthday I think for Mike. He has his next doctor's appointment on Tuesday and hopefully he'll get off his yucky, annoying cast and get a boot that he can walk in. I love you Mike and Happy Birthday!

Those back yard camp outs are the BEST!!! What a cute idea. Your boys will love it. That's funny that Mike likes "Settlers of Catan". That is one of Nate's favorite games. He's way into those stratigic games!! Hope all is well with you and your cute family!

That's got to be one of the cutest most creative presents I've seen. Happy Birthday!
UP is for sure on our list of movies to see now! I can't even handle your sensitive Mitchel, his future wife is one lucky girl!
