A few Christmas Photos

Just thought I would post a couple of pictures from Christmas. This first one is the boys in their "Sunday Best." Pretty handsome I think! On the Eve of Christmas Eve (the 23rd) we get together with the Harker side of the family and eat yummy food and have the cousins act out the Nativity. Unfortunatly, I could not get a picture of all the cousins in their costumes at the same time, but here are my wise men and shepard.
Luckily, Santa came on Christmas morning. Max got a Star Wars lightsaber (?) that you can build and change.
Mitchel got a bucket full of Tinker Toys. He is really good at building things and thought this would be a fun thing to try. Old school toys are still the best I think!
Mason woke up to a GeoTrack train. He can drive it by himself and his wonderful older brothers help him put the track together.
So there are just a few pictures. The kids also enjoyed opening some pajamas, a board game, Play Station games, and one other toy each. Mike got the "Scene It Seinfeld" game and if anyone wants to challenge him in it, that would be a blast. I got some snow pants that I've wanted for years so that I can go sledding with the boys. We also spent time with my side of the family Christmas day and got fun stuff from the cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. I am reminded every year of how blessed we are and how much I love having all our family so close to us. It was a wonderful Christmas!

Snow Fun

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas huh! I am so glad that it is finally snowing so my boys will go outside and burn some of their energy! They could stay out and play for hours!
Mitchel is an awesome sledder. He loves going FAST!

Max likes to ride crazy, like backward and sideways.

Mason wants to do everything his older brothers do. Unfortunately we haven't bought him a sled yet. Maybe for Christmas he'll get one.

We had a blast shoveling all the snow that fell last night. Its nice to have some helpers. My front yard also makes an awesome sledding hill, so the boys enjoyed doing that as well.

Christmas Card Opinion

Seriously, I really have nothing to write about, but it's no fun when you log onto someone's blog and they haven't updated it in a while. My children and I did attend our Ward Christmas party this weekend. Mike, on the other hand, was enjoying the Jazz game from the "Executive Suite" with my sister. (I was invited to go, but I thought Mike would enjoy it more. So Merry Christmas Mike!) We also took the boys sledding when it snowed on Saturday. Unfortunately, I was rushed out of the house because they were so excited to go and I forgot my cameras. So no fun photos of that event. They all loved it though. This was the first time we went down the "BIG hill" at the park by my house. Even Mason couldn't get enough. Good times!
I'm still debating on whether or not to send out Christmas cards this year. Postage these days is a fortune! What do you guys think of that tradition. Is it okay if I skip it for a year? Or do you love getting Christmas cards from people you haven't seen in a while? I better hurry and decide huh!

A Wonderful Weekend

So we had a fun weekend so I thought I would write about it. It started on Thursday when Max lost his first tooth. We were all SO excited. Unfortunatly, the tooth fairy must have been in China that night, because when we woke up, the tooth was still under his pillow. Luckily she made it to Max's room the next night.

We spend Friday afternoon with our Aunt Tracy at the Festival of Trees. There were ALOT of trees and my boys were done after about 300 of them. But it was a fun, Christmas thing to do.

The next cool thing was on Saturday afternoon my oldest brother Steve was rebaptised into the Church. My younger brother Michael baptised him and I gave the talk. It was a really awesome day for my whole family.

Saturday night we took the family to the lights at Temple Square. It was the perfect temperature and it was fun to be out enjoying the season. My sister came with us too! We love it when Aunt Tracy joins us!

10 Week Old Baby

Here is the first photo of my 10 week old fetus! Isn't he/she the cutest blob ever! My first appointment was yesterday and so my doctor (Dr. Froerer, the best OBGYN ever!) does an ultrasound on the first visit to verify the due date and to make sure we are only dealing with one baby, which was luckily the case. My official due date is July 2.
I am so glad he did the ultrasound because I always feel better after I can see a real human in there and I don't just feel yucky for nothing. Luckily, the last few days, I have been feeling much better and am getting some of my energy back. I have really good pregnancies, so hopefully this one will follow the same pattern.
The question I've already been asked 50 times is, "So, are you hoping for a girl?" I respond by saying, "Hope doesn't help anything. It is what it is so I'll be happy with either one." And that really is the truth. Another boy would be awesome because I kind of know what I'm doing there, and a girl would be a whole new adventure. Either way, this is the final Harker child for us. (At least that is the plan.)
And for all of you that are reading this blog and making comments, I just want you to know that I love it. This really is a lot of fun so thanks for getting me started!

Thanksgiving Blessings

Well, since I am new to all this I am not sure how often to "blog" or who, if anyone will ever even look at this, here goes my next attempt. I am pretty sure my Mom will at least log on, so if for no one else, I will write for her. I thought since it is Thanksgiving and all I would spend a few minutes being grateful for the many blessings I have in my life. So here it goes, in no particular order.
1. I am thankful to be a mother of three amazing boys. They bring more joy and craziness into my life than I ever could have dreamed of.
2. I am thankful for Mike, who loves and supports me through everything and still makes me feel sexy and attractive, even if we have been married for 11 years.
3. I am thankful for amazing parents and Grandparents for my children. They still are the rock in my life and I am so grateful to live close to all of them.
4. I am thankful for the gospel, my ward, and my callings in the Church. Without all of that, life wouldn't mean very much.
5. I am thankful for all the basics, food, my house, my job, clothes, my health, etc. All the stuff that some people don't have enough of or have to go without.
6. I am thankful for good friends, those I talk to and see often, and those that I only talk to once in a while. All of you have a special place in my heart and bring something extra to my life.
7. I am thankful for my jobs that let me use the talents Heavenly Father gave me. I love teaching and I love making movies. Both are so much fun for me and give me a feeling of accomplishment.
8. I am grateful for restaurants and fast food because I hate to cook and pretty much everything I do cook is only so-so. For some reason, when someone else makes it, it tastes 10x better.
9. I am grateful for my age. I would never want to be a teenager again, even though sometimes I still feel like I am one, but yet I still feel young and like I have so much life to live. I am glad that I am a little older and wiser, and feel like I still have a lot more left to learn.
10. And to end this list, I am thankful for my life, which includes all the people in it. I feel really blessed to be who I am and to have what I have. Life if good, and it seems to only be getting better. Thanks to all of you who are a part of my life. I love you all!

Our New Blog

My friend Sherry is teaching me how to start a blog. She is an expert and knows a lot of stuff. So soon my blog will be as cute as hers. This picture was from Mother's Day. Sorry Mike could not be included.
Okay, I am trying out a blog.
